RCA Boxes

There are several good places to find examples of radio tube boxes on the internet, but none offered enough details for me.

My goal is to document all of the variations, in sequence, with studio quality isometric photographs. A careful study shows that some boxes included date codes printed on them. It's unclear if the date codes were specified by the customer of the box company (RCA) or if the codes were part of the control process of the box factory (e.g. Ohio Box Board Co.).

Further study is planned and I have some good box co info that will follow.

Eventually, I will note which box goes with which tube!

UV-201-A box variants

Note how this NP-25065 box states it's revision as '1-25' but in fact has date codes showing it was made in December of 1924.

Perhaps this box came wrapped as a gift from Santa that big radio year?
