EMKO Radio Manufacturing Company, 97 Springfield Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, USA

Brand(s): Thermotron

Very few references other than the Radio News Certificate of Merit have been found for Thermotron or EMKO. An obscure judgement in court shows that "M E Glatzer" of EMKO Radio Mfg. Co. was found to owe $947 on 10-Apr-1925
Thermotron variants:

T O
H T
E R
R O
M N
201-A
1
Tube
{v1} Globe, brass base, tipped?

Though Radio News often used stock engravings for tubes in their merit awards, it's safe to assume that Thermotron tubes were using brass bases and were tipped. It's unlikely that they had enough success to transition to bakelite and then tipless construction.

I have never seen examples of Thermotron in collections or for sale, and is likely quite rare.
