Wavetone brand tubes present an interesting study case, as there is little info regarding them. First seen sold in Ontario, Canada, it's suspected that they were made in the great lakes area. 

The tube sold in April of 1924 would have both a brass base, and a tipped envelope. It wasnt until Aug 1924 that tipless tubes were announced. With tubes sold into 1926, variants include bakelite bases as well.
